Three elliptical mounds rise from the plaza of Nanjing Yurun Central plaza. Two, located near the mall entrance and another providing a visual focal point for those within the mall coffee shops along the main promenade. The ellipses create a playful composition, the smooth sloped planes provide a surface for glassy arches of water to ramp up and down in a tranquil sculptural composition and leap in rhythmic choreographies.

At night the continuous laminar streams are lit with colored light for a dramatic nighttime effect. Layered tiers create the incline of each mound and provide a stepped surface for a delicate water cascade that flows into a shallow pool surrounding each knoll. The mounds create a unique and whimsical landscape within the plaza and a dynamic sculptural experience for those moving through the busy plaza.
