A stepped cascade welcomes guests as they enter the hotel and move up the escalators to the main atrium. As water and fog course downward over steps comprised of thousands of colored glass stones, pristinely pure arches of water span the cascade, tier upon tier. Illuminated with colored fiber optics, these delicate arcs cross the space in choreographed movements. At surprising moments, these water segments impact in midair, creating sparks of water, color, and light.

At the top of the escalators a circular arrangement of pure, glass-like water arches weave together to create a sculpture of water. These arches turn on and off in changing patterns, and form the cradle for rare, but dramatic columns of water which shoot from the center to fifty meters above in the atrium space.

A majestic presentation of water and fire greets guests and visitors as they cross the bridge to the Burj Al Arab. A centrally located raised ellipse becomes the stage for various expressions of water. Water cascades down the stepped sides as tall, choreographed bursts of water loft skyward. At the center of the ellipse is an arrangement of continuously flowing water jets gracefully rising and falling and combining with the water bursts to form a myriad of water patterns and forms. During the evening hours, special moments surprise and amaze visitors as water jets suddenly become illuminated with fire emanating from within the water itself. In a powerful statement, bright fire balls erupt out of four towers flanking the bridge entrance, which can be viewed from nearby or miles away.
