Surge is waves of white frothy water that rush over the massive water wall at the base of the The Royal Atlantis porte cochére. The epic expanse of pulsing water acts as a marquee for those viewing it from the hotel drive and foreshadows the powerful presence water has within the resort. At night the programmable wall shimmers with white light, captured and reflected in the individual droplets of each rhythmic wave.

Two horizontal planes of mirror-like water flank the hotel entry reflecting the brilliant threshold of water and fire that frames the path to form Alight. The threshold, composed of double sided glass water walls containing programmable plumes of fire creates a magical effect and an unforgettable entry experience. As you walk between the walls of the entry you feel as if you are surrounded by water and firelight. The flames pulse in a rhythmic choreography, their light diffused by the shimmering water that ripples down the inner surfaces of glass. The proximity of the flashes of firelight heightens the sense of excitement and anticipation as you enter the hotel space.

Twin elevators frame the view of the bay beyond the lobby. Each elevator is a cylinder of glass coated with water that flows over their smooth surfaces. The water envelopes the glass in a delicate, scalloped liquid scrim that creates a watery world within. This encapsulates Deluge.
